Dr. Hung-Lung Huang在为遥感地学系师生做报告

4月1日上午，应杭州师范大学理学院遥感与地球科学研究院邀请，美国威斯康星大学麦迪逊分校著名学者Dr. Hung-Lung Huang来我院交流访问，并做了题为“Satellite Big Data for Weather and Environment Applications”的学术报告。约30位老师和研究生参加了此次学术活动。

Dr. Hung-Lung Huang首先介绍了美国空间科学与工程中心（Space Science &Engineering Center）国际前沿领域，重点介绍了其团队研发的“Community Satellite Processing Package（CSPP）LEO/GEO”软件及其应用产品；并介绍了“卫星遥感大数据和人工智能遥感应用”这一领域的最新研究成果。

Dr. Hung-Lung Huang语言幽默诙谐，生动具体，极大激发了师生们的科学研究思维。参会师生与黄教授进行了广泛交流，对今后科研、教学、人才培养等可能的合作领域进行了探讨，双方共同表示要在科研成果的产业化发展等方面加强合作。

主讲人简介：

Dr. Hung-Lung Huang is a distinguished scientist of the University of Wisconsin-Madison, having received his M.S. and Ph.D. degrees from the Meteorology Department of the University of Wisconsin, Madison in 1986 and 1989, respectively.

Since 1989, Dr. Huang has been with the Cooperative Institute for Meteorological Satellite Studies (CIMSS) of University of Wisconsin-Madison as a research scientist, conducting remote sensing research in the areas of atmospheric sounding retrieval, information content analysis, satellite and aircraft high-spectral resolution sounding instrument data processing, data compression,data assimilation, instrument design and performance analysis, cloud-clearing, cloud property characterization, synergistic imaging, and sounding data processing and algorithm development, and more recently the Big Data, AI, data assimilation, Observing System Simulation, and satellite data processing turn-key end-to-end system. He also advises and supports both national and international M.S. and Ph.D. students and visiting scientists.
